Data Operations Analyst

Aegon Global Business Solutions Center is supporting these businesses with IT, Finance, Risk, Model Validation, Actuarial, Audit and Asset management services with a growing team of approx. 300 people, based in Budapest, Hungary.
This position will be a part of the Aegon Asset Management Global Data Operations team. The Data Operations analyst will understand the various data domains within Data Operations/Enablement, including but not limited to Security, Analytics, Benchmarks and Pricing for daily and monthly processes. The analyst will be representing Data Operations across the aforementioned data domains as a Subject Matter Expert as part of daily production and project work. The Analyst will utilize their business analysis and technical skills to support and ensure data quality of the data, as well as ensure processes are complete and meeting the customer/client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure at a high level of accuracy the quality of daily and monthly security master data (i.e. maturity date, coupon, etc...), as well as pricing and analytics for securities and alternative assets.
- Support benchmark security functions as required for daily and month end processes.
- Work closely with the peers and other stakeholders, keeping them apprised of status on issues and projects.
- Complete thorough research on behalf of Data Operations and propose appropriate solutions.
- Understand and be able to speak to all process associated with Data Operations.
- Perform business analysis to determine best practices within daily production/projects.
- Continuous improvement mindset, improving data quality with a focus on customer service.
- Participate and set high expectations of self on daily production and projects.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients and internal customers.
- Support other functions as needed such as assurance of analytics (i.e. Duration, Yield, etc.…) quality as required for daily and month end processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields.
- 1-3 years of related experience in financial services industry or technical analysis (internships could be considered as experience)
- Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external parties to understand customer needs and ensure positive outcomes for our clients.
- Process improvement experience preferred, with the ability to recognize opportunities within own role.
- Strong analytical, problem recognition and resolution, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Excel – High proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Black Rock Aladdin Experience, preferred
- Derivative Asset knowledge
- Knowledge of Risk Analytics (i.e. WAL, Duration, yield)
