Senior Financial Analyst Investment Reporting

Aegon Global Business Solutions Center is supporting these businesses with IT, Finance, Risk, Model Validation, Actuarial, Audit, and Asset management services with a growing team of approx. 300 people, based in Budapest, Hungary.

Responsibilities
- Extract financial and attribute data from the core accounting system to perform appropriate analyses.
- Analyzes financial data and defines relevant information.
- Resolve process exceptions and variance by working with others including the Clearwater Service Team.
- Recommends process changes to improve and achieve greater efficiencies by documenting business requirements and participating in testing efforts.
- Assist with monthly accounting processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records by reviewing general ledger reconciliations and resolving variances.
- Review and maintain general ledger attributes in the core accounting system.
- Understand the data flow and use this skill to recommend solutions to complex problems.
- Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls.
- Assist with project work and may serve as a member of a project team.
- Work effectively with other departments/divisions to ensure business issues are resolved for the success of the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing financial analysis.
- Proficiency using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting/financial area preferred (for example, investments, insurance products, premium).
- Customer-oriented with demonstrated communication skills both orally and written.
- Experience in financial analysis and collaborative problem-solving with others.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Deadline-driven with the ability to multi-task and work effectively individually and within a team.
