Onboarding & Training Specialist

Aegon Global Business Solutions Center is supporting these businesses with IT, Finance, Risk, Model Validation, Actuarial, Audit and Asset management services with a growing team of approx. 300 people, based in Budapest, Hungary.
Purpose of the job: The Onboarding & Training Specialist is responsible for facilitating a seamless integration of new employees into the organization and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to be successful in their roles. This role involves the design, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive training programs that align with the company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective onboarding strategy that provides new hires with a thorough introduction to the company culture, policies, and expectations.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to create role-specific training plans that address the needs of individual positions and departments.
- Design and deliver engaging training materials and presentations using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including e-learning, in-person workshops, and webinars.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain and update training records, including tracking employee progress and providing reports to management.
- Serve as a point of contact for new employees, answering questions, and providing support throughout the onboarding process.
- Coordinate with IT, facilities, and other departments to ensure new hires have the necessary resources and access to systems from day one.
- Facilitate team-building activities on onboarding days.
- Stay current with the latest training methods, tools, and best practices, incorporating these into the onboarding and training programs as appropriate.
- Assist with the development and revision of company policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and understood by all employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in training, onboarding, or HR-related roles.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Hungarian, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information and instructions.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to employee relations, with a focus on providing a positive onboarding experience.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with regular hours, though some flexibility may be required for training sessions or onboarding events.
- Office days: 3 days/week.
