Salary: A competitive salary from £41,680 – £62,520, depending on the experience you can bring

We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team on a fixed term contract in Edinburgh. Our Financial Reporting team are responsible for the preparation and analysis of group reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
What you will be responsible for:
Working with financial information providers, business units and third parties you will assist with quarterly preparation of consolidated IFRS and regulatory reporting.
Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and with the preparation of other group and external regulatory submissions e.g. FCA returns and ICARA.
Facilitating continuous improvement across the financial reporting team, driving reporting developments as necessary.
Ensure that all preparation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Complete workload to an auditable standard and follow SOX processes.
Use your interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally across Aegon UK.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Strong expertise in monthly and quarterly preparation of consolidation reporting.
Exposure and knowledge of the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
Qualified accountant such as CA, ACCA or CIMA.
Strong proven track record of working in a similar role within a financial services or professional firm environment.
Well organised you will be comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels you should be able to build relationships quickly.
