The Job:
This position is responsible for implementing resiliency strategies, policies, and procedures for critical systems and operations, conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses, coordinating resiliency testing and exercises, and monitoring technology resilience metrics. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's ability to maintain its operations and services in the face of disruptions of disasters, including those caused by cyber threats and malware.
What You Will Do:
Develop and lead the implementation of technology resiliency strategies and plans to ensure continuity of critical systems and operations
Develop and maintain technology resiliency policies, standards, and procedures, and ensure they are regularly reviewed and updated
Lead and coordinate technology resiliency testing and exercises and ensure that lessons learned are incorporated into plans and strategies
Collaborate with other teams within GTS and the broader IT organization, including security, network, and application teams, to ensure that technology resiliency is integrated into all aspects of our technology environment
Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify and prioritize potential disruptions and their impact on the business
Monitor and analyse technology resilience metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous improvement
Work with engineering and architecture teams to validate that designs are sufficient to meet business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) requirements
Stay up to date with emerging trends (e.g., Zero Trust Architecture, cloud-native resiliency, cyber resiliency, and ransomware mitigation, etc.) and best practices related to technology resiliency, and provide thought leadership on new approaches and technologies
Provide technical guidance on designing resiliency standards for on-prem and cloud-based applications
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Strong understanding of technology resiliency principles and practices, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, incident management, and testing
Proficiency in various IT systems, platforms, and tools is essential. This may include knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, cloud computing, data backup and recovery, network security, and IT infrastructure management
Experience with on-prem and cloud-based (AWS\Azure) infrastructure
Familiarity with resiliency technologies, such as backup and recovery, clustering, load balancing and replication
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to drive and implement process improvements.
Proven experience in developing and executing IT resiliency and recovery plans.
Ideal candidate should be able to create clear documentation, reports, and presentations.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow platform
