Aegon’s Distribution and Marketing division achieves commercial outcomes by promoting the brand, products, and services. The Marketing function is responsible for innovating, developing, and delivering propositions to adviser, employer, and customer audiences.
As Digital Marketing Developer, you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day digital operations of our public web presence. Specialising in web estate management, you will bring expertise in personalisation and possess in-depth knowledge of CSS, HTML, and Bootstrap. The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth functioning of our public-facing web estate, impacting both end users and Operations through exceptional customer service. This position is integral to the organisation's digital strategy, combining technical proficiency with strategic insight to drive impactful and efficient digital operations.
In this role, you will establish and maintain website development and digital processes, focusing on robust incident reporting and the timely delivery of technical resolutions. The emphasis is on maximising the impact of digital content through engaging branding and innovative technical solutions. The candidate will contribute to the optimisation of digital processes to ensure efficiency and excellence, supporting the overall enhancement of the web estate.
Additionally, the role involves actively assisting the Digital Operations team in the delivery of digital projects and providing support to the broader department with content updates. The candidate will also play a crucial role in stakeholder consultancy for digital build and engagement, offering guidance on digital media and front-end development.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Full HTML and CSS knowledge
Experience of Adobe Experience Manager (or a Content Management System), and Adobe services (Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Launch)
Excellent knowledge of Bootstrap and understanding of device optimisation
Good knowledge of W3C web standards, accessibility and compatibility rules
Experience working in a digital function
Experience in creating reporting and monitoring digital systems
Good understanding of UX principles, tool, methodologies and trends
Understanding of usability techniques, experience of producing documentation and bug fixing methods
It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:
Good knowledge of website analytics
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies, including Agile development
Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices
