Insurance Compliance Manager
Responsibilities
Manage Corrective Action Plans (CAP) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Conduct a business risk assessment using the NAIC Market Conduct Hand book and lead the subsequent compliance testing.
Research and articulate state regulatory requirements and provide guidance to business partners.
Initiate projects to improve the efficiency of the compliance department.
Prepare reports on operation of department.
Manage and assign projects to compliance analyst staff.
Review projects for completeness and overall performance of compliance analysts.
Develop and train staff to enable them to achieve degree of expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, political science, pre-law, paralegal or other relevant area.
Minimum of 5 years insurance or securities experience.
At least 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced analytical, interpretive, organizational and negotiations skills.
Understanding of company operations.
Experience in auditing, market conduct exams or other testing activities.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment utilizing Microsoft office products.
Remote or hybrid location (if local to Cedar Rapids, IA).
Compensation:

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $100,000 - $110,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Bonus Eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.
